RadicalRampage turns vocabulary study into a fast recognition challenge. Read an English prompt, choose a supported target language, and find the matching word before the clock runs out.
How the Vocabulary Game Works
Each round places one source-language prompt in the center of the board and surrounds it with possible translations. Select the matching target-language tile to score and immediately continue to the next word. A wrong answer removes 10 seconds and resets the combo, so accurate recognition matters as much as speed.
Standard games begin with three minutes. Correct streaks build a combo and unlock bonus seconds at milestone rounds, giving consistent players more time to keep scoring. The completed game review preserves every board so uncertain words, readings, translations, answer times, and mistakes can be inspected afterward. Language Learner Levels
Language Learner mode organizes vocabulary around established study systems: Simplified Chinese uses HSK 1, HSK 2, HSK 3, HSK 4, HSK 5, HSK 6, and HSK 7-9; Traditional Chinese uses TOCFL 1 through TOCFL 7; Japanese uses JLPT N5, N4, N3, N2, and N1; and German uses CEFR A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2.
Start with the level you are currently studying. Move up when most choices are recognizable without guessing. Higher learner levels award more base points, reflecting the harder vocabulary while keeping progress measurable within the same language and mode. Native Vocabulary from Common to Rare
Native mode provides ten frequency-based difficulty levels for Chinese, Japanese, and German. Native 1 emphasizes common terms suited to rapid everyday recognition. Each step introduces less frequent and more specialized vocabulary until Native 10, where rare words create the most demanding boards and the highest base scores.
English prompts keep the practice direction clear and consistent across every mode. Native difficulty uses the existing multilingual concepts, while learner tracks use level-specific English meanings so each prompt matches the sense being studied.
Rampage, Berserk, and Competitive Scores
Rampage expands the standard 4x4 board with 12 answers to a 6x6 board with 32 answers, making every translation harder to locate, and doubles the score. Berserk reduces the starting clock from three minutes to 90 seconds and multiplies the score by 2.5. Enabling both creates the hardest 6x6, 90-second challenge with a 5x score multiplier.
Games can be played without an account. Signed-in players can keep completed games in My Games and record personal bests. RadicalRampage focuses on written vocabulary recognition and works best alongside listening, speaking, grammar, and longer-form reading practice.
