Wait for the recording to finish, then say the sentence yourself. Try to copy its pronunciation, tones, and rhythm.
Repeat or move on
Click the sentence, choose Repeat, or press Space to hear it again. When you are ready, choose Next or press Enter to see and hear the next one.
Highlight what you know
Select one or more HSK levels. Red highlights mark vocabulary from those levels, while black underlines group words. Part of a longer word can be highlighted independently.
Choose your pinyin
Unfamiliar words is the default: pinyin appears above vocabulary outside your selected levels. Choose All words for more support, or Off to practice reading without hints. The English translation stays visible.
Set your own pace
Use the speed dropdown, including 0.5× for slower practice. Use Repeat beside Next to listen again; click the sentence to replay it from the beginning. Your language, levels, pinyin mode, and speed are remembered in this browser.
One sentence at a time
If a sentence feels difficult, listen again and repeat it a few times. Slow the recording down when you need to. Move on when you feel ready; the next sentence will play automatically.
The current starter sentences are in simplified Mandarin Chinese and use AI-generated Huayan recordings. Playback stops after each sentence, leaving you time to repeat it before continuing.

Highlights follow the HSK levels you select. Word grouping and level highlighting are separate, so familiar parts can be highlighted even inside a less familiar word.

Yes. Press Start session to open your practice page. The first recording and three-minute timer begin there. Replay sentences as often as you need. At zero, any audio already playing finishes, then you see the sentences you practiced. There is no score.
