What Does TOCFL Novice 1 Vocabulary Cover?
The official Novice 1 vocabulary section contains 160 entries for immediate communication: personal identity, greetings, people, numbers, time, food, basic actions, familiar objects, and everyday locations.

How Does Novice 1 Fit the Official TOCFL Structure?
Novice 1 is the first result in Band Novice and sits below CEFR A1. RadicalRampage now uses the official name directly instead of renumbering this section as a numbered TOCFL level.
This numbering describes the vocabulary practice track. When registering for an exam, use the current official band and result-level names shown by the test center.

Novice 1 is the first result in Band Novice. Exact timing depends on the test format described on the TOCFL hub.
